One of the things I admire about prayer warriors is their ability to pray for long hours. I guess that’s why they are called “prayer warriors”.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As a worship leader, I can sing and worship God for hours but praying is of another level and a challenge I am willing to grow into.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prayer is an act of worship. I may not be able to pray for long hours but I do know the importance of prayer and have been a witness to both answer prayers and the ones not answered. Regardless whether I have an answer from God, prayer is essential as it is a way we converse to our heavenly Father.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Heal our land was a song I wrote after hearing our Senior Pastor, Timothy Loh of Eaglepoint share about our nation, Malaysia. One of the verses shared was:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ”\u00a0(KJV, 2 Chronicles 7:14)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That was the same year (if not mistaken) that NECF released the prayer and fasting booklet with the same verse mentioned.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Strongly taken over by the word of God spoken and as well as the season Malaysia was going through, I felt led to write a song out of it. The funny thing was, growing up in 3 different nations has often brought confusion asking myself “where exactly is my home nation” .. hehe.. but it didn’t take to long for me to find peace knowing that as I am here at this time, at this place, at this season, this is the nation God has called me to be, to grow, invest and bless.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I believe for a better Malaysia. This year we have a better chance to make a change but as much as voting for the right people to govern the land is important, our prayers to God matters all the more. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As God’s people, let’s do our part. Let’s call unto him, humble ourselves, pray for those who has done wrong, seek His face, pray that His will be done, pray that our nation will turn from wicked ways and in the process believe that God from heaven will forgive us and heal our nation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
