Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God… according to his purpose.
We understand that as men and women of God we are presently right now on a journey to reach God. Ultimately we are going to be in a place where we are going to stand before our Creator. Our life on this planet earth is a journey like a pilgrim. So we are on a journey. Abraham was a pilgrim in the true sense of the word, making his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country. Abraham was a man who was in the world but not of the world.
We were born into this world as children of God to discover the journey that God has chosen for us in His purpose and plan. Therefore, we are on this journey to God. We start at one point and ultimately we will finish the journey at another point. The point that God has destined for us.
IT’S A TRAGEDY SOME PEOPLE NEVER GROW
But you know what? Unfortunately, it’s really sad when people don’t realise that growth isn’t automatic. What you sow today determines what you reap tomorrow. There are a lot of people who start at point “A” and die at the same point. They never grow, neither do they allow God to mentor them to grow. That is indeed a tragedy so to speak.
On the other hand, our “fixed boxed mentality” of ignorance and lack of spiritual discernment can also hinder and delay God’s destiny in this journey. We tend to behave like we are cleverer than God and we tell God how to direct our life and what’s best for us. In so doing, we end up messing around with Gods plan and purpose for our lives.
Psalm 37:23-24
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
A typical example is the Israelites in the wilderness. An 11 day journey took 40 years. Because of their stubborn ingratitude and unbecoming of God’s children and character they never made it in the end. God became so sick and upset that He virtually disqualified them from entering into His promise.
A LACK OF A LIFE IN THE SPIRIT CAN COMPLICATE YOUR DESTINY
In other words, we need to be spiritually sensitive in our journey that the things we go through are designed to ultimately move us into God’s destiny for our lives. Therefore there is a process we must go through to advance from where we are now to where God wants us to be.
We cannot neglect the function of a process in order to reach the objective……..our destiny in God. In other words, we cannot reach the mountain top before going through the valley.
Unfortunately, we see many people today, they want the mountain top but they don’t want the valley. They want the finished product but they don’t want to go through the process. They want the price but they are not prepared to work for it!
THERE IS NO SHORTCUT TO THE PROCESS
Because: The process involves pain, the process involves hurts and the process involves sacrifice and besides the process is an uncomfortable experience. When you go through a process it literally strips you off from all that you have build around yourself. That’s when the testing starts. You will notice when processes become painful, we may be tempted to retreat and quit.
Process is all about changing you from one form to another, from immaturity to maturity. Have you ever realised that immature people always want the easy way out?
When you and I miss the significant purpose and work of God…..in the preparation process, sadly, it can become a place of desolation and destruction. It can become a negative destructive force in your growth process. So, you need to understand the purpose and plan of God in your process, otherwise the enemy will come in and sow seeds of deception.
HOW MANY OF YOU KNOW THAT, MOSES WAS PUT IN A PROCESS TO TRANSFORM HIM BEFORE HE COULD TAKE UP THE MANDATE OF GOD. It took Moses 40 years of preparation in the wilderness. The bottom line is we need to go through a process before we can be qualified to be used of God.
It’s only when you are stretched through resistance and pressure you will be able to bring out the capabilities and potentialities that are hidden in you. A TEA BAG WILL NOT RELEASE ITS FLAVOUR UNTIL IT GOES THROUGH HOT WATER.
DON’T RUN AWAY FROM THE PROCESS
No matter how difficult the journey becomes, it’s good to endure through it.
We should not run away from any process because we will end up having to go through it again if that is what God has designed for you.
HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED MANY OF US WANT THE BLESSING THAT IS ON OTHERS? Sometimes we want to reach that goal that somebody else has reached.
Often we look at others being so blessed and anointed and we want the blessing that we see in somebody else, the anointing we see on somebody else.
We fail to understand that this people carry the blessings and anointing because of a PROCESS they had gone through earlier on. They had gone through the fire. They had gone through the breaking and crushing process before they were promoted.
SOME PROCESS MAY TAKE LONGER THAN EXPECTED
By the way, have you questioned yourself why some journeys seem to last too long while others go through a shorter process in their lives?
Perhaps you have a dream, a great dream! But your dream is not coming to reality! You seem to be struggling while you see others who are less qualified than you being blessed and doing well.
AN UNCOMMON BREAKTHROUGH IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP
You know what? So often we miss the significant mark for what God is setting you up for! The reality is that He is getting you ready for an uncommon breakthrough…a future blessing. You must learn to endure before you can ever expect God to bring you to that new level in your life.
Psalms 30:5
There is a period of weeping and pain which goes on for the night but joy follows in the morning.
Believe me! You will not be in the same season forever! Seasons will have to change! But until God decides it’s over for you, only then, you will be moving on to the new season. When that season arrives, your moment arrives! The impossible doors that you thought will never open at all, the blessing! the breakthrough!, the favour! the miracle!, the healing!, will suddenly burst into your situation.
Perhaps, you have been confused and wondering if it’s really God or the enemy that you need to go through so much, waiting so long, losing hope and getting so tired of your present season. But you know what? When your appointed time is due, believe me, God will move the world for you! Heaven will smile at you. When your breakthrough is due, you are on the roller skates going from glory to glory.
