Over 1000 Christians from 25 churches in Kuching gathered at Blessed Church, for the first day of Prayer School with Pr Julius Suubi. The five-day prayer school promised greater revelation in the upcoming days as the church unite in praying and interceeding for the city and nation.
In his message, Pr Suubi called prophetic Christians to rise up and to prophesy over Kuching. “When we worship the Lord in truth and in spirit, that dissolves the power of darkness,” he said.
He said, “I have been very jealous for the Lord, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”
1 Kings 19:10
When you defile the atmosphere, it attracts demonic presence.
“But if the prophetic Christians begin to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth, our worship cleans up the atmosphere,” he continued. “That’s why one of the greatest revivals that has begun taking place is the restoration of true praise and worship in the church.”
“Don’t keep quiet, you need to prophesy. Prophesy to yourself, to your family, to the city, to the nation of Malaysia. Hallelujah!” he added, sharing how he loves to prophesy.
Every transaction that God will ever do for mankind is through the altar. That’s why when God told Moses to build the tabernacle, he told him to build an altar. What is an altar? Altars are high places, objects, ornaments, or images. There are many images in the city, but those images are not just images.
There are different kinds of altars. There’s the personal altar, which is your heart because the bible says that you are a temple of the Holy Spirit. “God resides inside your heart, you carry the presence of God,” he said telling when you are dancing, God is dancing. When you lay hands on the sick, God is laying hands on the sick. “Because there is God inside you. glory to God!”
Pr Suubi shared that it’s not him but the Holy Spirit inside him who was using his mouth to speak to the congregation. “You carry the presence of God; you are so special,” he said.
The family altar is what you raise in your house. “Husbands, wives, and children are supposed to pray together. Unfortunately, many times men and women don’t pray together,” he said, especially for husbands and wives. “That’s not right.”
“Don’t just explain to your children about prayer, let your children see you pray,” he said. We need to teach our children to pray. “In fact in these end times, revival, children play an important part. The young people, let’s teach them to fast. The family altar has the power to shift the destiny of the family,” he added to break the curses in the family. “If family altars are so powerful, we will not be bothering our pastors with our problems.”
“We must pray in our houses. Prayer releases angels. You will have a traffic jam of angels in your house,” he said. “If you’re just sleeping and snoring (without praying), you will have a traffic jam of demons.”
The church is an altar. When you come to church, you have come to encounter the power of the Holy Ghost. It is impossible for you to come to church and leave in the same way you came. “You’re coming to the power point, a place where the power of the Holy Ghost comes over your life,” he said, reflecting how many people go to church looking discouraged.
The Word of God is like an arrow or a jab. “I begin to see their faces brightening up and they begin to open their eyes; and they begin to say amen! They shout hallelujah, they jump up, and they dance. They keep talking to the preacher and telling ‘you are talking to me!’” he said.
“You people in Malaysia, you have very anointed preachers,” he said. “But the problem is you always keep quiet.” When you begin to tell your pastors “Amen! Hallelujah!”, more anointing will fall on you. “Don’t just shake your head like a professor,” he added.
“I promise you, tonight you’re going to leave with power!” he said. “You have not come to a cemetery; you have come to the power of the living God. We have come to the altar of the most high; the presence of God is here.”
And as he spoke to me, the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
Ezekiel 2:2
“As we speak tonight, the power of the living God is entering you. When we begin to pray, you will be filled with the presence of fire!” he said. “We come to church to connect with the power.” That’s why after you pray; you must be more powerful after a prayer meeting. Religious prayer does not release power.
