Ever since the launch of Christianity Malaysia website, I have the opportunity to share the word of God in a different light.
Indeed, Jesus death on the cross and the Holy Spirit, our comforter in us, has allowed us to live a victorious life on earth. Knowing this, we can take joy in doing our part and leave the rest to God to do His.
Romans 10:17 says faith comes from hearing and hearing comes from the word of God. Our God is invisible; we cannot see him nor physically touch him. In fact, we cannot fully comprehend Him. Isaiah 55:9 says for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. What God wants us to do is just to know Him and not to understand Him, but to know Him simply of His love, grace and greatness.
Recently, I emailed John Hong’s testimony to an old friend from a Catholic background. The testimony was published in Christianity Malaysia website on 26th September 2012, entitled “Receiving Blessings One After Another.” Twenty years have passed since I last brought him to a church, which was FGA KL then. Last week, I bumped into this old friend again. I was surprised that he brought up the testimony I emailed him and how he was touched. We spoke about not avoiding God because of what Christ has done, and also the spiritual emptiness without Him. My friend desired to go to church once more, even bringing his children along. Praise the Lord!
A ministry without barriers, Christianity Malaysia even touched my dear sister, Caroline, who is now residing in Sydney, Australia. Less than a year ago, amazingly she accepted the Lord in a FGB (Full Gospel Business) meeting held at Tropical Mall, Petaling Jaya. When she came back to Kuala Lumpur a month ago, she shared with me her private journey with God, which was rather quiet. Still getting to know about Jesus, she does not go to church services but would occasonally visit the chapel by herself. We emailed back and forth, with me sending her new postings in Christianity Malaysia, and her updating me her newfound joy in listening to Hillsong, reading 25 online bible words a day, and perusing the content of the Christianity Malaysia website.
In her latest email, she said that she wished to be baptized one day. How unbelievable! As the first believer of my family, I witnessed my nine siblings, one-by-one, coming to the Lord in their own ways except for my oldest brother. It will not be long before he too will accept Christ. Amen to that prayer.
My dear brother and sister-in-Christ, in these last days, if you were to think of one friend who had been avoiding God in his or her life, who came to your mind?
And if you would do your part to bring your friend back to Jesus, all you need to do is to hit the send button with the website link (www.christianitymalaysia.com) to the article you felt appropriate for him or her.
Online news and testimonies are not threatening and they can be read by anyone, anytime and any way. I have complete faith with the Holy Spirit in doing His work.
Do you remember Luke 5:4 – 8? Peter had been toiling the whole night for fishes but he caught nothing. But Jesus blessed Peter and he caught so many fishes that his net broke. Upon seeing that, Peter knelt down and repented naturally without being told. He was a Jew, living under the law. From this story, you can see God’s provision always comes first, before a natural response of repentance. We want to attract people to the abundant grace and love of God!
Jesus then said in Luke 5:10, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will catch men!”
