It’s More Than Metamorphosis

Everyone who really believes that Jesus is the Christ

proves himself as one of God’s family

(1John 5:1)

The Lord Jesus, God incarnate, is truly the loving Son of God. We have, by our own doings and greed for materials things, unknown to ourselves, fallen out from God’s happy family. The Bible tells us that God the Son Jesus actually came to earth to make peace with us even if it meant paying the ultimate price by His own death on the cross. Through Jesus, we who have contravene God’s laws and as a result have fallen out from God’s family, can now identify us with Jesus and through Him be reconciled with God. Jesus challenged every one of us

“Look, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door,

I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

(Revelations 3:20)

Many times Jesus has beckoned to us and knocked at our heart’s door as He had promised – some of us heard Him when we were young, some as grown-ups and some later in life. Because some of us have so much worldly NOISE around us in all our lives, we sadly miss the call of the Master.

If you have achieved plenty in life and yet know deep in your heart that you are still searching for that missing ‘something’, don’t despair. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you! It’s your spirit seeking its natural course. Can a dog be happy and fully settled with its life in a temporary refuge with strangers while it longs to be home with its master? Those of us who have responded to His challenge to accept Him have found the PERSON of our Lord Jesus. He has changed our lives and has revealed to us the real meaning of happiness and the secret of true living.

To me, Jesus has been the answer to my long search for life’s purpose. Where materialism and scholastic achievements have utterly failed, Jesus has filled the recesses of my heart to the brim! When we love Him and surrender our lives daily to Him, He transforms us – humbleness will replace our pride and arrogance, gentleness our rudeness and abruptness, caring our complacency, forgiveness our stubbornness and so on.

These are the blessings we receive that are promised to us by God. These are the fruits of inward happiness. Who but Jesus Christ, the maker of the very essence of our being is able to magnificently do that for us? It is the divine intention of Jesus Christ, because He loves every one of us on this earth so much, to comb every nook and corner of this planet to find us, and when He does, to know us so that we may in turn find our true selves. On our own, we haven’t got the capability or the science to know ourselves, because we are not our doings but God’s (Ephesians 2:10).

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,

which God prepared in advance for us to do

(Ephesians 2:10)

It doesn’t matter whoever you are, where ever you may be or whatever you may be doing because you cannot possibly ignore the beckoning call of our Lord.   We may have been fighting Him and we may have been running away but we cannot quell this deep longing in our hearts to seek Him – to respond and accept the generous love and homecoming call of our Maker and Lord.

  1. Amen.
    John 10:10 (NKJV)

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
